Bring Your Own Bike – the wheels have officially come off.

Bring Your Own Bike – the wheels have officially come off! Luckily, this isn’t a problem for Sam White our qualified mechanic who runs our weekly Bring Your Own Bike (BYOB) Session. BYOB is a DIY bike repair night. The difference is you will have access to professional bike tools, new and recycled parts not to mention Sam’s expert help and guidance.

Despite the cold and windy February Wednesday, the workshop was buzzing with people doing all manner of repairs. Sam(?change the name) was making some rapid repairs to his brakes. He explained that as he had been using his bike every day since he arrived in Exeter in September, it needed some TLC. Once he had found out about BYOB and Ride On was a charity he knew that it was just what needed.

Sophie had just finished the work on her bike and was pumping up her tyres. She knew that her bike required some work and finally after some encouragement from one of her friends (nagging) she got around to bringing her bike down.

BYOB is an affordable way to get your bike fixed. It works by a small donation being made based on the time you need, any parts you need to buy (new or recycled) and if you need support from the qualified mechanic.

Come along, put your bike in a stand, learn more, save money and fix your own bike! Find out about Bring your Own Bike.
